Welcome to the Sonoma County Section on Aging website! We are dedicated to providing resources, support, and advocacy for older adults in Sonoma County. The Sonoma County Section on Aging is a coalition of agencies, organizations and individuals concerned with the well-being of older adults and the education of our members. As a network alliance, we advocate for and promote the development, coordination, and implementation of older adult services in Sonoma County.
Whether you are an older adult looking for information and resources, or a caregiver seeking support and guidance, we are here to help. Our members are knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our community.

The Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging Gall and Balance program!

This presentation offers an overview of Sonoma County’s current and planned fall-prevention programs and services to promote healthy aging, independence and quality-of-life among older adults—the largest growing segment of our local population.
Attendees will learn:
How to access these resources; and
Ways to become involved in the movement to initiate, expand and sustain fall-prevention efforts in the county.

CB Wohl
CB Wohl is a public health professional who applies a community health promotion focus to all initiatives in her scope-of-work—with a special emphasis on addressing the underlying conditions that contribute to one’s overall health and well-being. She joined Sonoma County’s Adult & Aging Division/Area Agency on Aging in 2020 to serve as its Community Innovations Planner. Her current portfolio of activities to support the county’s older adults ranges from fall prevention programs/services, nutrition education, farmers’ market subsidies, depression interventions, the local Master Plan for Aging, and capacity building for the county’s social services provider network. CB has extensive experience in the health and academic sectors that includes coordinating Florida Department of Health-Palm Beaches’ Healthy People/Healthy program, serving as the clinic director for the largest free clinic in Florida and managing resource development and strategic planning for higher education institutions and other public & nonprofit organizations on the east coast.
CB Wohl will be presenting with colleagues Brooke Brand (an RN at Providence Memorial Hospital Trauma Services) and Dana Jacoby (retired organization development consultant, corporate trainer and life coach who has been apart of ‘A Matter of Balance’ since 2013).
